The Gap

You track your sleep, HRV, strain, and recovery every day. Your blood data shouldn't be the missing piece.

If you wear a WHOOP, an Oura ring, a Garmin, an Apple Watch, or any other serious tracker, you already know more about your sleep architecture and heart rate variability than most family doctors. What you don't have is the blood data that explains why your recovery is off, why your energy fluctuates, or whether your lifestyle is actually moving the needle on the things that matter for long-term health.

Getting that data in Canada has been harder than it should be. Family doctors order panels focused on screening for disease, not optimization. Private wellness clinics charge premium prices and gate access behind in-person visits. The comprehensive panels offered by US-based wearable platforms like WHOOP Advanced Labs aren't available north of the border yet.

clinic.ca's Total Health Panel solves this directly. It's the same 8-pillar framework used by leading preventive medicine researchers — metabolism, hormones, fitness, nutrients, inflammation, cardiovascular health, sleep/recovery, and cognition — built as a Canadian service, ordered by an Ontario-licensed Nurse Practitioner, processed at LifeLabs, and delivered as a PDF you can upload to any health-tracking app that supports biomarker data.

No gatekeeping. No in-person visit. No US travel. Just the data you need to make sense of everything else you're already tracking.

66 biomarkers, 8 pillars

Everything that matters, organized the way your body works.

The panel covers the eight categories that preventive medicine research prioritizes. Each pillar gives you a window into how a system in your body is actually functioning — not just whether you're "in range" on one or two markers.

Frequently asked

Questions from people like you.

Is this the same as WHOOP Advanced Labs?
No, and we don't claim to be. clinic.ca is not affiliated with WHOOP. What we offer is a Canadian blood panel built around the same 8-pillar framework that leading preventive medicine research uses, covering 66 biomarkers. Your results come as a PDF you can upload to WHOOP's free upload feature, or to any other health app that accepts biomarker data. If WHOOP launches their own in-person testing in Canada later this year, this panel will still be a legitimate alternative for people who want independent Canadian clinical ordering.
Do I need to live in Ontario?
Currently yes. The Nurse Practitioner who reviews your intake and signs your requisition is licensed in Ontario, and the requisition is valid at LifeLabs locations across Ontario. We're evaluating expansion to other provinces but don't have a firm timeline yet.
Why 66 biomarkers specifically?
The 8 pillars and the biomarkers within each one are derived from the framework used in preventive medicine and healthspan research — glucose and insulin for metabolism, ApoB and Lp(a) for cardiovascular risk, hsCRP and homocysteine for inflammation, full thyroid and sex hormones for the endocrine system, and a comprehensive CBC for blood/cognition. It's the most complete picture of your underlying physiology that one blood draw can realistically capture.
How long until I get results?
Your lab requisition is issued within 24 hours of your intake submission. After your blood draw, LifeLabs processes the sample and shares results directly with you, typically within 3–5 business days. clinic.ca does not review or interpret your results — the lab delivers them straight to you.
What if some of the results are abnormal?
Your NP's annotation will flag markers outside the optimal range and explain what they mean. For significant abnormalities, the NP will recommend follow-up — whether that's lifestyle changes, repeat testing in 3–6 months, or referral to a family doctor or specialist. This is a wellness-focused panel, not a replacement for primary care. If you don't have a family doctor, we can help you understand what your next step should be.
Is any of this OHIP covered?
Some of it, depending on your circumstances. Layer 1 markers — CBC, lipids, liver, kidney, TSH, HbA1c, vitamin D, B12, ferritin, folate, magnesium — may be OHIP-covered if you have a clinical indication. The advanced markers that make this panel comprehensive (ApoB, Lp(a), IGF-1, hsCRP, HOMA-IR, fasting insulin, free testosterone, SHBG, DHEA-S, cortisol, full reproductive hormones) are not on the Ontario Schedule of Benefits and are always self-pay. Your NP will review eligibility during intake.
How do I upload results to my WHOOP / Oura / Apple Health?
You download your results PDF from clinic.ca, then follow your app's upload flow. WHOOP supports PDF uploads in the Advanced Labs Uploads feature (free with any WHOOP membership, available globally). Oura accepts biomarker uploads in their Health Panels section. Apple Health and Garmin Connect accept manual biomarker entry. We don't integrate directly with any app — we give you the data and you own the upload step.
How often should I repeat this?
For baseline tracking, once a year. If you're actively working on improving a specific marker — lowering ApoB, raising vitamin D, reducing inflammation, optimizing hormones — repeat testing every 3–6 months is more useful because it shows whether your lifestyle changes are moving the numbers.
