FAQ
Is OHIP covered?
B12, TSH, HbA1c, and CBC are OHIP-covered with clinical indication. Homocysteine and cortisol may be self-pay.
What causes elevated homocysteine?
Low B12, B6, or folate, kidney dysfunction, or genetics. Elevated homocysteine is associated with increased dementia and stroke risk.
Can brain fog be reversed?
Often yes — when caused by nutritional deficiencies, thyroid dysfunction, or blood sugar dysregulation. Your NP will identify and address root causes in your result review.
Do I need to fast?
Fasting 8 hours improves HbA1c and cortisol accuracy. Morning draws are ideal for cortisol measurement.
