FAQ
Is OHIP covered?
CBC, TSH, B12, and glucose are OHIP-covered with clinical indication. Cortisol and DHEA-S may be self-pay.
What time should I draw blood?
Cortisol should be drawn in the morning (8–10am) when levels are naturally highest. This gives the most clinically meaningful result.
What is adrenal fatigue?
Adrenal fatigue is not an established medical diagnosis, but chronic HPA-axis dysregulation is real and measurable through cortisol and DHEA-S patterns. Your NP will interpret results carefully.
What if cortisol is elevated?
Chronically high cortisol can indicate unmanaged stress, Cushing's syndrome, or other conditions. Your NP will contextualize and advise follow-up if needed.
