FAQ
Is OHIP covered?
FSH, LH, and testosterone are OHIP-covered with clinical indication. Semen analysis referral is covered when infertility is clinically documented.
How is semen analysis done?
Your lab req will include a referral to a fertility lab (LifeLabs or andrology lab). You provide a sample at the lab after 2–5 days of abstinence.
What if my sperm count is low?
Your NP will interpret the full panel and may recommend repeat analysis, specialist referral, or additional hormonal workup. Many causes of low sperm count are treatable.
How long before seeing results?
Blood work results are in your portal within 24–48 hours. Semen analysis results take 2–5 business days.
