Is OHIP covered?

Specialist visits are OHIP-covered when referred by a licensed Ontario NP. clinic.ca fees cover the NP consult and referral letter generation.

Do I need a reason for the referral?

Yes. Ontario OHIP system requires a clinical indication for specialist referrals. Your NP will document the indication based on your intake answers.

How do I use my referral letter?

Take your referral letter PDF to the specialist office or fax it as directed. Most specialist offices will contact you to book an appointment.
