FAQ
Is OHIP covered?
Fertility panels are OHIP-covered when there is clinical indication (e.g., difficulty conceiving, irregular cycles, anovulation). Routine fertility assessment without symptoms is typically self-pay.
When should I draw blood?
Day 3 FSH, LH, and estradiol should be drawn on Day 2, 3, or 4 of your menstrual cycle (Day 1 = first day of full flow). Progesterone is drawn on Day 21 (or 7 days after confirmed ovulation).
What is a good AMH level?
AMH ≥1.0 ng/mL suggests adequate ovarian reserve for your age. Interpretation is always age-adjusted. Your NP will provide context in your result notes.
What if FSH is elevated?
Elevated Day 3 FSH may indicate diminished ovarian reserve. Your NP will interpret alongside AMH and estradiol and may recommend fertility specialist referral.
